Questions about Focus-Drift

An owner is whoever or whatever held your focus — a person, a piece of work, an app, a place, or anything else you want to name. Each owner gets its own colour, and every entry you log belongs to one owner. Typing a name you've used before attaches the new entry to that same owner instead of creating a duplicate.

Tap Log from Today, pick the kind (Work, Person, App, Context, Other), type or pick the owner's name, choose a duration from the chips or set a custom one, and save. The entry is timestamped to when it started, defaulting to right now.

It counts how many times your logged attention moved from one owner to a different one during the day, in chronological order. It isn't a score — there's no target number, and higher or lower doesn't mean anything is going right or wrong.

Insights needs at least a handful of logged entries before patterns are meaningful, and Recurring Pairs needs at least two days where the same two owners appeared together. Log a few more entries across a couple of days and the blocks will fill in.

Open an owner's detail screen to rename or delete just that owner and its entries. To clear the whole device, open Settings → Erase everything, then type the word ERASE exactly to confirm — this cannot be undone.

No. Focus-Drift keeps everything in a local database on your iPhone only. There's no account, no sync, and no server. If you use iCloud device backups, that's a setting of your iPhone, not something Focus-Drift manages.
